Default Very bloated...

After successfully l-carbing for over 6 months this past week I went completely wild and ate basically whatever I wanted. No, I'm not pround of it and I'm back on track as of yesterday. The problem is I'm incredibly bloated. My stomach is huge and kind of hard to the touch and my clothes simply don't fit. Even though I cheated like crazy I still find it hard to believe that I actually gained all that weight in only one week... I don't have a scale at home and I'm dreading the prospect of going to the drugstore. Is it normal to be that bloated after one week of high carbing ? Thanks !

yeah, high carbing definitely causes alot of bloating. Once, after a little messing up on the carbs, i was extremely bloated, too. The next day I was in the bathroom every 10 minutes cause of the extra liquid. I looked (& felt even lighter) normal after that. Usually for bloating, i drink glasses and glasses of water to help flush out the water. And while bloating, or right after "cheating" I wait to weigh myself a week or so. There are some things i don't need to know!

Thanks lilli, that's what I thought. I guess I needed a little reassurance ...

Any time I have a relatively high-carb meal, or even if I just have more salt than usual, I am bloated the next day. You probably should wait to weigh yourself, too, because one pint of water weighs one pound; bloat definitely shows up on the scale.
