You are amazing! I want to do that. The most that I've done in a day is 32K - and that was in 2016. Yes - I need to plan a big walking day. It won't happen without planning. Thanks for the inspiration.

BTW: The other day I was chatting with my first-born daughter - the one that studied for a semester at the University of Nottingham - about doing a daddy/daughter trip to Europe at some time in the future. I was there in 1983 and I've always wanted to go back. Obesity sort of snatched that dream away from me. But now that dream is reborn. It won't happen anytime soon -- I've still got 2 kids in college -- but maybe in the next 2 or 3 years. I'd love to know a few of your favorite walking locations in England. When I do go, I plan on seeing a lot of the countryside on foot.

Thank you Ken. I enjoy a few very long rambles each year, but you win out on consistently high daily step counts - and being taller than me that translates into more miles too. I did a few challenge walks back in the day, around 30 - 35 miles, but was fed up being a 5' 4" woman overtaken by lots of 6' men.

If you do make it to England, I would recommend Shropshire I think. It is fairly gentle compared with the Lake District, prettier than the Pennines which to the unattuned eye can be bleak and same-ish. Nowhere in England is as rugged as the Scottish Highlands or Snowdonia in Wales, which in turn are nowhere near as rugged as the mountain ranges in Europe or the US.

Anyway, I would really recommend doing parts of the Shropshire Way, using trains or buses to make a good day's linear walk. When your trip becomes a certainty I would happily mail you some maps and guides.

In the meantime there are some videos on you tube, some made by "The bald explorer". I don't find his presentation especially inspiring, but you can see the landscape of the Long Mynd, for example.

There are lots of rambles in Britain on you tube. My husband can sit and watch beaches in Norfolk on our Smart TV for hours. Someone should create them on Virtual Reality, for the elderly and infirm.

Another good month. I slipped back a little bit on aerobic workouts and definitely slacked off on the weight training. I won't complain, though. It was a busy, hot, humid, stormy month. All things considered, I did OK.

Thanks for the ideas Ambulo. My daughter loves to travel and I love to walk. I'm sure that the daddy/daughter trip will happen sometime. The only questions are when and where.
