Default made my order....

o.k. I've read and re-read this thread a few times and apart from not knowing which type of mag. or what the hell D3 is, I come to the conclusion that I wanted to feel good!
So, my order is as follows... Dr. Best vit D3 1000iu x 180 soft gel caps.

Dr. Best H/ap mag. 100mg x 120 tabs.

When they arrive, I've understood there best taken between meals... but how many do you think of each should I take? I do appreciate your expertise on this one... I have no underlying illnesses other than Thalasemia minor, which is not a problem to me, no gallbladder, and a bad case of sciatica. oh, and I'm fairly misserable and tired, like most people my age.

Magnesium is supposed to be relaxing. Many people take it before bed. Since if you are deficient, you might need to "top up" I've been told start with one and see how it goes, but you can add more if it goes well. My first dose made me feel like I'd eaten a bran muffin, if you know what I mean, but subsequent doses did not affect me; I take two 250 mg chelated magnesium a day.

I also started with Vitamin D at 5,000 units a day; I live in the Far North, I don't get outdoors all that much, and I'm past forty so I have a decreased ability to make it from sunlight, anyway.

This was from a starting point of 36; and I'd already been supplementing for three months when I got that test! The Vitamin D council says shoot for 60.

I'm an early fifties lady in menopause, if that helps.

Why just 1000 on the D3? After forty, we don't make it from sunshine like we should.
