Plan: My Plan!

Progress: 54%
Location: New England
Default Vacation License

Went on vacation for 8 days and apparently granted myself a license to eat anything. Although I did eat a lot of salads and seafood, I was bad... real bad. So I am officially confessing. Here is the list:

Coconut French Toast with syrup
Stuffed French Toast with syrup
Blueberry Whole Wheat Pancakes with syrup
Chocolate Chip Pancakes with syrup
Pasta entree
Chicken sandwich on white bun with french fries
Hamburger on white bun with onion rings
Six pack of hard cider (over the course of the week)
Chocolate banana shake
Chocolate cheesecake shake
Pre-packaged chocolate pudding cup

But that's not actually the worst part! When I got home, I couldn't stop eating carby stuff! The deadly slippery slope. I was completely off the wagon for two solid weeks-- way beyond just cheating! So here is the list for the days immediately following my vacation, which all comes from take-out food and restaurants:

Pad Thai
Chicken sandwich on white roll
Baked Potato
California maki rolls
Paratha (twice)
White Rice
Potstickers
Crab rangoon
Cheesecake
Bananas Foster

I finally buckled down on Sunday, went to the grocery store, and I am back on track. Not surprisingly, I had a massive carb-withdrawal headache yesterday. My body trying to tell me something. I am trying to use this as a learning experience. The lessons: (1) When I go on vacation, I'm not vacationing from LC, (2) high carb meals make me feel bloated, tired and give me stomach ache, (3) make sure I have LC groceries at home and don't put off grocery shopping, (4) the more meals that I eat high carb, the harder it becomes to stop, and (5) only a few things listed above were actually worth it, if you know what I mean! Confession over.

I feel for you, if I listed the halloween candy and sweets that I have eaten in the past four days if would make you puke. I am inspired that you pulled yourself up by the bootstraps so to speak. I am going to do the same starting tonight by going to the store and then cooking low carb. It is so hard though four days out. But if you can do it, so can I Good Luck!!!!
