Well from the looks of them they look like chives or garlic chives. Similar to green onion stems.

The bulbs at the top look like they are about to bloom, so that would be my guess.

They're called garlic stems. I looked it up in Corrinne T. Netzer as well as the database and the closest I found was garlic sprouts. Not quite the same but similar. They seem to have more fiber than below, at leaswt when eaten. How did you cook them? A stir-fry with pork?

For 1 cup:

Cals: 70
Pro: 5
Carbs: 14
Fat: .5
Fiber: 3

Thank u so much, Karen!!

Yes, I sometimes stir-fry them w/ pork. DH loves it.

Last night, I chopped them up finely & made a huge minced chicken and garlic stems egg foo yung.

Thanks again.

Bebe

PS. Sorry, Karen. The info that u gave me, is it a cup of raw garlic stems/sprouts or cooked? Thanks a lot.
