Krystair,

You have done way good. I want to ask someone with experience on low carb a few questions and you seem to fit that person. I hope you don't mind.
I am doing good on LC and am wondering if eating the LC Bread, Atkins bars, would set me back. Did you ever eat some of them? I am staying away from them still but, I feel like ordering the real LC items and maybe have one Atkins bar per day and a couple slices of the low carb bread. I am in ketosis at 20 carb and more than that ,I'm not.

I congratulate you on your will power.

I stayed away from them and followed the plan as it was written. I tried one of the Atkins bars, and it set off cravings for me, and I never had it again. With the low carb bread, I have had some of the low carb wheat tortillas in the beginning, but once I learned about the carb ladder, I stopped having those. I didn't ever have a problem with them (I lost 17lbs the first 2 weeks), but I wanted to follow it properly, so I stopped.

I am beginning to add more carbs in and climb the carb ladder now (well, I will be in a week...going through some family issues which have me away from home at the moment, and I can't worry about it right now) and will slowly move through the rest of the stages of Atkins. I expect to lose for a while still, and would love to see 165 or 160. I'm confident that will be no problem at all.

Best of luck to you. My best advice is to follow the plan to the letter.

Just ran across your post and had to say CONGRATS!!! This is a spectacular accomplishment. You must have been very committed to do this in such a short time.

And how great that you have found a plan that works for you at such a young age .... no matter what the future holds, you now know what works.

Enjoy the new you! Many hugs!
