Default List of Low Carb/Low Sugar Foods?

I'm new to the board and this type of diet...and dieting in general. Can someone please email me a list of low carb/low sugar foods that wood be suggested in such a diet? My biggest question is what type of veggies are suggested and what other peripheral things to eat around the high protein main course of a meal? What desserts do you eat? What about wine? I am an avid wine drinker, what about alcohol and wine in general? Please email me directly if possible. *****~aol.com.

Hello Paul,

There are two books that you should read before starting on a low carb way of eating. Protein Power and Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution. They are chock full of the information that you need to be successful. Click on the Books and Tips link in the red bar at the top of this page to give you an overview.

Low carbing is not a one-size-fits-all plan. You tailor it to suit your needs as you go along. And yes, wine drinking is allowed if you can fit it into your life according to your own low-carb plan.

Karen

Welcome aboard Paul,

Such a list is available right here. Just go to our main site, and click on the carb-counter under tools.

I have deleted the email address from your post, since it 1) Might result in spam to your address, and 2) We do not support members through personal emails. We encourage group participation, and all helpful information should be shared on the forum for all to see, rather than to a select few through email. I hope you understand
