Default sugar busters

Hi I'm thinking of starting Sugar Busters but was wondering if someone can tell me a little bit about it. Is there any recipes you have to follow on this diet plan or does it just tell you what food you shouldnt eat? Also what is the difference between Sugar Busters and the Atkins diet? thanks

Hi -- welcome to the Board.

Sugar Busters is less restrictive about carbs than Atkins.

You can enjoy most fruits, non starchy vegetables, lean meats, dairy and limited amounts of whole grains (bread, rice, sweet potatoes).

No white flour, white potatoes or Sugar. Keep processed foods to a minimum.

Insulin is controlled by eating low gylcemic index foods.

I would reccomend reading the book to get a better understanding of the mechanics of the plan.
You might try checking it out from the library so you don't have to spend money on a plan you aren't sure you are interested in.
