Default Holiday Temptation

Hi, I am from the UK and am visiting Canada soon for a holiday. I know I wil be tempted to stray as holidays for me are usually about the meal at a good restaurant in the evenings. I don't think the main meals will be a problem, happy with meat and salad, however, being on holiday I will be tempted by dessert and particuary apple pie which is a speciality in the area I am visiting and a previous favourite of mine! Any suggestions for low carb desserts? Any restaurant chains which are low carb friendly?

Where exactly are you staying in Canada? It's a big place, with lots of regional flavours. Regardless of where you are, try to stick with fresh fruit for desserts...load it up with high fat whipping cream if you do the dairy thing for extra satisfaction! Harvest is in full swing now, so getting fresh fruits and vegetables should be no problem at all.

Canada low carb friendly restaurants:

Montanas
Boston Pizza (don't let the "pizza" fool you, they have tons of low carb options)

Basically any place that touts steak, chicken/ribs kinda place. Just be wary of sauces and add ins.
