Sounds good to me Julie. I was just wondering if anyone is actually interested in meeting this month -- the thread has been so slow!

Glad to see you survived your gig at the fair!! Our show last weekend went quite well.

I resemble that remark !

Actually, in fact, I haven't had the time to put together the calendar spreadsheet...and I expected Steph would say the 19th is out, what with Paolo Nutini in Vancouver and me being her, um, backup date...though that was only just confirmed yesterday... urk.

I still don't have the brainspace to figure out your scheduling(s), ladies, and it IS your schedulings...but I'm up anytime Thursday this week for dinner and maybe Saturday for dinner or Sunday for lunch <evil grin icon> or else maybe next week for lunch sometime...I have NO idea what the dates are.

I have an interview (god help us I didn't think it was possible in this climate) at VIHA on Wednesday, computer repair runs, mom visits, and general crap this week.

Hmmm ... the response to lunch tomorrow has been kind of underwhelming! Not much time left this month ladies! I can't make it from the 24th to the 27th -- a show in Nanaimo. Next month is a tad freer ... maybe we have to meet early in Oct. and again towards the end?

I'm afraid I won't be back to Victoria again this month. I've signed up for a quilting class on Saturdays in Duncan for October so I'm not available for Sat lunches until November.

It's too bad we couldn't work something out this month - I'm sure October will be more open. So far, no commitments for me.

19th was just plain a no-go, sorry ladies. I thought I said, but guess I wasn't quite clear enough.

Sorry I haven't been more responsive generally this month as well, everytime I went to respond to an email for this forum, from my own current living computer, something blew...it was like bad karma.

Evenings this week are shot, lunch is constrained - until after the 30th and so far - to downtown core, and this coming week and weekend I'm actually expecting more visitor(s)...it's all very messy.

Sigh. It's not that I'm interested underwhelmingly, it's that I'm overwhelmed. I imagine I'm not alone in this very stressful time with all hell breaking loose (or freezing over more appropriately) in the financial and governmental worlds.

At least for we working poor...

Hey, I'm still shocked there was this one really promising "right up my alley" job opening at all, never mind getting interviewed for it.

I *think* it went well, everyone seemed quite comfortable, including me.

The proof is in the pudding (sugarfree or not)...we shall see. Thanks for asking!

Jude, I never once thought that your interest would be "underwhelming" - I think I know you better than that! But I'm sorry to hear you've been having 'puter problems - hope they're resolved now. And I sure hear you about the financial climate - being in a luxury hobby business, we are definitely feeling the pinch! And of course, fingers and toes are crossed for good news from your interview!!

Steph has been unusually inactive on here too - I hope all is well and she's just been unusually busy?

The 3rd & 4th of October is our only show coming up, so October is pretty free for me.

I'm here!

Just a busy month for me and I had bronchitis for 3 weeks...then was away with Jude last weekend...just getting back into the swing o' things...

I'm terrified of another lousy meal. I find it so depressing. Julie's "Cobb" salad was the straw that broke this camel's back.....

Is there some other activity we can do? A trip to Costco? Mini golf? Petting zoo? Picnic? Walk at Goldstream? Corn maze?

I think Glenda would have a clear advantage at mini golf....

I'm mostly hopeless at anything that requires coordination.

Thinking good thoughts for Jude on the new job.

How about a Sunday lunch buffet where at least we can pick and choose the food on our plates?

Anybody know a good one?
