I've read "Sugarbusters". I did like the approach but it's a little "preachy" for me and a little short on specifics. The reality is that not everyone can adhere to the program. Eating fruit separately from other foods and waiting a specific amount of time before or after consuming foods...a little much. I also cannot have grains - I have a wheat and gluten allergy. This includes even spelt, for example. This is the same criticism I have for "You, On A Diet" - if you take the RealAge test and check off that you have allergies, that's all well and good until you get a lecture about how you need to eat whole grains. There might other issues - others may post, too. Cheers!

I'm here, I was a Atkins guy, untill I had a series of gout attacks it seems like when I would go into ketosis I would have an attack. So I added whole grains, mainly oatmeal and some Uncle Sam Whole Grain ceral with soy milk, I also eat dreamfields and whole wheat pasta about once every 2 weeks. I had read SB and just re read it. I am currently trying to mantain my current weight and SB is working well for me. On atkins I missed oatmeal and some bread, I guess now I can have my cake and eat it too, hehehehehehehe.

Hi Anna! I'm a 'newbie' and have been on Sugar Buster! since April and have lost 28 pounds. I'm really excited about my progress and anxious to share with other 'low carbers'.

I did okay on SB until I got sick last year. Since my illness, I have severe digestive problems whenever I eat fruit or wheat products. I've had to tweak the diet so much, I feel like I'm doing more low carb than SB. I'm hoping to eventually get over the sensitivities and intolerances I developed. I'm glad to see some activity on this site.
