Hi to all
Has anyone had the experience of loosing hair on this way of eating.? I have been on this way of eating now for 14 months and am experiencing hair loss. Just wonder if anyone else has this problem and how long did it last.?
Thanks to all
KRISTY

Hi Kristy,

I noticed I shed hair, but not lose hair. Not sure why, but it seems like the roots are weak, but no hair loss. From several years of low-carbing, I still have a full head of hair. I've heard similar accounts from other low-carbers.

Hi Kristy,

Thinning hair shouldn't be a problem if you are eating adequate good quality protein, and unsaturated fats such as olive oil and nuts.

Do you also have dry, flaky skin, and do you feel chilly and run down?? Might want to get your thyroid checked; low thyroid hormone is one of the most overlooked problems for mature women.

just a thought,
Doreen RN
