What field did you edit and Did it give you any errors?

If no errors, try refreshing the page, to make sure.

Hello. I wanted to give myself a couple of days to get used to all this before I commented. I have an aversion to change...so didn't like it much at first. But now that I've gotten used to it, I really like it MUCH better. You guys are doing a fabulous job!

I noticed several negative comments about the vertical posts (the poster info being above the post rather than on the side). I think this was a wonderful idea/change. The way it was before was just a big waste of space.

Anyway....thanks so much for working to make this wonderful forum an even better place!!! I appreciate it very much.

You asked if anyone was using a Mac. I am -- I read this on both a Mac with OS10.3 (Panther), using either Safari (usually on the laptop) or Internet Explorer (usually on the desktop).

So far, I'm not having any problems and everything I've tried to do has worked just fine, but I've seldom tried to do anything remotely fancy.

Thumbs up

thanks w'ail for all the work you've done.
i think this upgrade is just great. after the last upgrade i had to switch from netscape to IE in order to post a reply and a few other pesky problems, now with this upgrade i can once again use netscape. i like the look and it is so easy to navigate around the site.

great work
jes

Are there any Mac users out here? Is everything working, or are you having problems? I don't have a Mac to test with.

I am using Mac OSX with Mozilla and no problems except the aforementioned lack of distinction btwn visited and unvisited links. (Overriding in the browser isn't feasible.)

It seems like I have to refresh all the time now, if I go into my journal, I have to hit refresh to see the new posts. When I go into "Atkins" or "General Low Carb" or "Karen's Corner" I have to hit the refresh button to see the new posts in there each time too. Is this normal? Thanks!

Did you click on "Save changes" before refreshing?

What browser are you using, and what version, is this Windows or Mac?

What browser are you using, and what version? Windows or Mac?

Do you use any accelerator software or a proxy?

Hi Wa'il,
I wanted to tell you how much I enjoy the forum, new and old. I'm wondering about 2 things. I miss the # of people viewing the different forums will that be coming back or no? I also am having to constantly shift refresh for some reason. A simple refresh won't do it. I'm using a PC with IE 6 no accelerator.

Thanks for all of your great work

Alli

You mean the number of members viewing each forum listed on the main page? That didn't go away, and it still does it.

Even just now, to see any posts below the one I posted yesterday, I had to refresh.

I use 2 computers, both with Internet Explorer version 6.00.2800.1106 (does that make sense...I looked at the 'properties' on the .exe) One computer has XP, the other is just Office 2000 I think. I don't know if I have an accelerator or a proxy though.

I noticed on my home computer that there was a question under options of "Check for new version of stored pages: Every visit to the page / Everytime you start Internet Explorer / Automatically / Never" The "Never" button was clicked. I think I should probably have "every time you visit the page" clicked, right? On the XP computer I don't see this question in my options though. Hmmm. Sorry, I hate to waste your time with this! There are much more important things you probably need to do!

Have a great day,
Lily
