HI RAINS must be a busy day as usual for you! enjoy

MARY.. sounds like a good idea to have a CN when it works best! There is no steadfast RULE to HAVE to HAVE the 7 day CN. It is recommended but we are not all out of the same mold. These are, to me, generalizations. I also lose more when not having meat.. Paulettie as well. The beef and meats seem to stick around longer and not digested as quickly. I may glow in the dark from Mercury but I am having tuna more often than not LOL!

YEA PAULETTE on the new scale. I ALWAYS weigh a few hours after I am up. If I weigh early I KNOW the water shift will happen.Same with Jodi. I know y ou HAVE to have that morning java If you can put it off a little, you will see a lower weight At anyrate, enjoy that scale. You entered the 21 century too!!! digital scale and no springs

Paulette>> Congratulations on your new scale. I love this scale already, lol. I was happy when I got my new scale last year even though it shows like 5 lbs more than the old one bot it's digital so it's more accurate and gives me results in lbs and kgs.

I watched the podcast link CRICKET sent me and I absorbed some great ideas from it. Number 1 being that I may need to tone down my CN from a 3 spike nite to only having a normal dinner (with carbs) and a good high carb dessert for the big insulin spike at night. Keifer suggested this may help older women like myself. Number 2 being that I may need to go 10 days rather than 7.

I will see where I am on day 7. If I have not gone down in weight, I will only have a carby dinner with dessert on that CN. If I have still not lost, then I will extend the week to 10 days, too. I may have been over-doing it with the carb load. I am not an active person, so my glucogen stores may not be depleted enough.

I am not expecting extreme quick weight loss any more, but I simply want to be sure I AM losing fat - not just maintaining. If this new suggestion does the trick, I will continue with the reduced CN. If I am still seeing the same number at the end of the week, it will be time to extend the time between them.

PAULETTIE.. when I saw that I thought of you! ( and me too ) Why is it that we seem to be getting to the same conclusions without all the degrees and studies Just look at how we slimmed down the meals we have had and already stretched intervals. There is more than hormones at work. We need different plans for our mature bodies. These plans were written for young gym rats!
I have streamlined my plans as well, deciding on a small nice simple day of foods. Nothing outrageous and too big. Small meals. HIGH carbs and fats for late nite. Will give that a shot. Next week I can try it this different way completely and be very very content! NO starchy veggies now.

ANY ONE OVER 40 here that wants to see the link.. just let me know and I will post it on the private site.

Paulette >> sounds a good plan, I hope it works for you!!

Debbi >> welcome on board, it's great to have you here

I finished weight lifting and it was a killer, it's getting harder even though it's only week 2 for me. Maybe I should go slow increasing the weights.
I was hungry so I had some almonds and cheese after an hour.

Carb Night tomorrow and will be starting vegan low carb Sunday, I'll try to stay below 50_60 carbs fingers crossed!!
I won't be doing any CN till May 1st. As we celebrate Resurrection Day or you call it Easter I guess.

I hope you are all doing great

Hi ladies,
Cricket... Thank you so much for the call today I needed that.. I did take your advice I am going out tonight to the Legion hall it is grill your own steak night.. And yes I am going to take my scale so I can weigh my steak after I cook it and before I eat it rofl... I already checked they have steamed broccoli and I can bring my own salad dressing for my salad so life will get better gradually.. This is just gonna take some time.

Paulette, I can so relate to you on the scale thing. I remember last year when my scale went wonky and would give me all kind of reads. Then my new digital is amazing. .I am also like cricket I have to be up about 2 hours then weight I can weigh as much as 2 lb less than when I first wake up.. Great job staying Dedicated.

Mary... I know that you can do Vegan. for a couple of weeks. Check out Dietdoctor.com I get some of my recipes there and they have Vegan menus and ideas. I stay under 20 full carbs a day so I am pretty sure it can happen. As long as you were on Keto only I think you should do a CN night due the fact 50 days and no break is a long time.

Dusti... hope you are feeling better...

Kathi... my friend hope you are doing better and looking forward to seeing your sweetie..

My new scale is showing 208.6 right now. I couldn't help but stand on it just to take a peek. So my big water gain IS going down, even with my full day of food & drink.

Once again I am not hungry and my cals are low! This is usually not the case right after a CN. I am usually quite hungry the day after. Not today. I had eggs and sausage planned for dinner, but could not bring myself to make them. I had 1.9 oz of pepper jack cheese instead just now as it is getting late and I will be going to bed in an hour. Totals for today are: 926 cals, 58g protein, 7 carbs and 74g fat with a 1.94 ratio.

Tomorrow I will eat the eggs & sausage for lunch. I really need to eat some eggs as we have 3 dozen!!!!! I took out a chicken leg quarter to thaw for dinner, so I hope to actually eat it tomorrow. My planned cals are at 1158 for tomorrow but I will have to see how the day goes before I commit to a menu.

MARY - good luck to you with the vegan eating. I hope it works for you.

CRICKET - I guess this CNS is going to be trial and error for a while until we can get the right equation figured out for each of our individual needs. There will never be a cookie-cutter plan that works for all. So the tweaking must begin.

DEBBIE - congrats on your loss and I sure hope you can see something below your last CN this time. I have faith in this plan - it just takes time to find our own groove. We are all pretty new to this.

RAINS - your weight listed on day 11 is wrong I would guess! You may want to fix it.

--------

May we all have a good night and see a good loss in the am.

Hi DEBBIE... I was about to write you and see if you were OK! I thought of you last night when I did my toeses How did you Mom enjoy the pedi
GENERAL REMINDER TO * after the weight daily and to use decimals
I generally try to get the daily chart changed by 8PM. If I wait until later I forget it If it changes before a post, then the gal can post on the old chart and again on the new one.COmment on the new so we see it LOL...
Good ambassador Jodi has drummed up a person to come on board. Not sure where to begin with her. She IS getting the '72 Atkins and that to me is the best foundation. I just do not like Kiefer's over simplified P<N & F deal. So, might as well start off right We can invite her here while she learns and can get help from the best US !
MARY... all sounds reasonable and this is life and it gets interrupted! I am not Christian so I will take your word on what the holidays are.Passover is one week from today. Easy to do on this plan if i do not have the matzo board or motzo balls in the soup!
Paulette.. I shared your avocado dip recipe with a pool mate who is doing weight watchers.. she is in love with it! They seem to be doing all the LC recipes.. cauliflower pizza crust etc

HAPPY SLIMMING SPRINGTIME SATURDAY LADIES
I hope that Miss WHOOSHIE locks her evil twin away and you all have a wonderful restful night.
I HOPE I get some decent sleep and maybe wake up to a led that finally is free of swelling. Jodi will be returning on Sunday so I have only 4 more feedings.ALL the horses have finally found pasture pals to buddy with and I cannot complain about them. All feeding is really very easy. Messy putting out the hay for three of them but other than that they are all wonderful .
Cookie manages to throw off her front shoes in record time of 8 days. Decided to keep them off. She is to be shown in Georgia next weekend but if she become sore footed she stays home. That was an extra $25.00 tossed out the window! Hope she remains sound and does not get sore. DO not care about the show.Just do not want her in discomfort.
Have a grand evening and see you in the morning.

An additional 1.8 loss for me this morning. I was soaking in the CN hot tub and soaked a little too long I guess. Yesterday was such a non-hungry day that I am sure I was able to use up a bit of my glycogen. Today I have my eggs 7 sausage planned for lunch and what I thought was a chicken leg quarter thawed out to be a thigh and a wing! So that will be for dinner tonight. Along with all my coffee/cream, I have a daily expected total of 1103 cals with 58g pro, 94g fat and 6 carbs (all from the eggs and cream). Ratio will be 2.27 today.

I will be sticking to the induction foods only for another couple days. Then perhaps adding a salad on Tuesday because I have to finish my Avocado Dressing.

MARY - OMG, you are going to win this game if you do not do your CN today! Are you planning on going with it? Congrats on having such a great losing week! Go Mary Go!!!!

CRICKET - sorry to hear of Cookie's lost shoes. I hope she does not get sore. I agree with Keifer's simplified FPN idea. Because I am too detailed to simply follow it. It actually cause me more stress because I had to look up and compare foods and try to keep a balance. I prefer following my old way and record all foods then plop the totals into the KetoCalculator to find the macros.

---------

I am curious as to when the rest of my Hydroxycut prizes will arrive. I got the weight scale, the food scale and the Fitbook yesterday. I will be receiving a Fitbit and the 2-month supply of products yet. I am curious what the products will actually be? Because I would not use the things they pictured. Maybe the tablets, but certainly not the gummies and powders. They all have carbs. It would be better if they sent me coupons or something so I could go to Walgreens and buy what I wanted. but beggars can't be choosers! I will be happy with just about anything! It is great to win things!

Today will be sunny and warm and I want to get outside. I do have some work so I want to get it done this morning as soon as I can.

You all have a great day!
