Default Multivitamin brand

What is a good quality but relatively inexpensive multi-vitamin that I can get at Whole Foods, Trader Joes, or Walmart?

If it matters, I would most likely get the women's formula.

Thanks for your help

I haven't researched the different ones, but I alternate between the One-A-Day Weight Smart and One-A-Day Carb Smart (one one day, the other the next) so on and so forth. I get them at WalMart.

Might be a good idea to ask your Md, in case you have any issues that might conflict with ingredients in certain vitamins and supplements.

It might be a good idea to find out if you should take a supplement with iron, or without. It used to be they seemed to think everyone should take iron. Thinking has changed, and they don't want you getting too much.

ok..never buy Centrum, One a days, Natures Made, Costco Kirkland or other drug or grocery store vitamins..they are ca ca.

Ke Baldwin and others here have their favorties and offer great advice, but we are all in agreement that you should take the time to buy a good quality multi..either on line or a health food store.

Here are some of my faves..

Solaray/Kal
Natures Way..their product "Alive" is really nice.
Natures Life
Twinlab
Solgar
Country Life
Natures Plus

All are good, reputable companies and have some great quality products. Take some time and visit a health food store and ask an employee their opinion on multis..ask questions about each and why they feel they are good.

Do not get sucked into the whole food vitamins abosrb better crap..

I think Supernutrition has the best multis available..
