Default CKD and Depression

Hello all,

I am looking for some thoughts on post carb-up depression. I have struggled to deal with depression for many years.
Most post carb-up times are ok but a couple of times I have felt enormously depressed after a carb-up. Both times the carb-up was not the only factor that could have been involved with the depressed episode. But I wonder if it did contribute or perhaps even cause the depressed time.

I ask because I really want to do a carb-up, its been 2 weeks and I can't wait. However I attempted suicide about a month ago and since then I have been on a severe roller coaster of depression, the worst ever. I have finally started to see a little light at the end of the tunnel with four good days in a row.

I want to carb-up very bad but I would hate to start another episode of depression. So any thoughts from others that deal with any type of depression, or just anybody that has a comment on CKD and depression I would appreciate.

Many Thanks,

JWJ

Hi JWJ,

I have limited experience with depression and even less experiance with carb-ups, so please take anything I say with a grain of salt.

This sounds like this is pretty serious stuff. If you've been feeling better for a few days why take a chance. Perhaps instead of doing a full carb-up you could just increase your carbs somewhat and see what happens.

Maybe someone with more experience will reply.

Good luck to you,
Arnie
