I'm the overweight person in my life, and I like everything except most seafood (& out there foods, like bugs). My favorites are Thai curries, Indian, Italian, Greek salads & kabobs, ice cream, cakes/pies, cashews, meats of all kinds, fresh baked bread w/ butter, cheeses of all sorts, soups, dark chocolate... list really doesn't stop.
My problem is portion control. If I eat a carb or dessert, I absolutely cannot stop. I don't just have a bite of ice cream or one doughnut or a slice of bread -- I have to eat until most of it is gone. My out-of-control eating is very well contained on a low carb diet, for I stop binging & feel full/satisfied most of the time. It's obviously a much healthier lifestyle for me.
