Default Correction....didn't mean diuretic....meant diarr____a.

Has anyone else had the problem of running to the bathroom constantly when you started LCing? How did you stop that?

Yes, for me it was an issue of being sensitive to wheat gluten (also in rye and barley) and dairy products. Cutting out both cured the problem. Lots of low carb speciality products have both tons of dairy and gluten in them because they're low carb.

I will take this over the gastro problems I had while high carbing: gas, gas, gas!

I discovered that I was lactose intolerant to the heavy whipping cream. I now take two Lactoid before I eat/drink it and I'm fine.....whew.

It will stop after a while, ~ 3-7 days, it's just your body getting used to the big change in your diet. Make sure to take some fiber supplements and drink lots of water. Here's something funny--and it helps keep me from having a big cheat day--if you stop low carbing and have a change back to your old way of eating, the runs will come back with a vengance, so be careful!

OK, I've been doing this LC thing for several weeks, so why am I suddenly dealing with the runs NOW?
