Default CLA: your grassfed beef in a capsule

I dunno about you, but I can only afford grassfed animal products on special occasions. But I agree that these foods have health benefits. My solution?

Conjugated Linoleic Acid

Here's a nice summing up of the current research

Short version? I started taking it years ago, before I low carbed. While changing nothing else, I lost two inches from my waist.

This made me realize I might have a metabolic problem, started researching blood sugar issues, and I wound up on Atkins. I was taking it the whole time I lost 70 pounds in six months.

Since then, I've been more or less constant with it, though I ran out a few months ago, realized I'm being penny-wise and POUND-foolish, and am eagerly awaiting my next shipment. I need a nudge to lose these last 10 pounds, and CLA has so many health benefits.

At 1,000 mg three times a day, it got a tad pricey; but not as pricey as $8 a pound bison meat and not nearly as pricey as a damaged metabolism.

CLA heals our metabolism, fights cancer, zaps free radicals, helps control blood sugar, and lowers body fat. It's what's IN the grassfed beef and butter than makes it so good for us. So until my finances improve and I can eat it; I'll just swallow it, instead.

Love this stuff!

I feel the same way about salmon and omega-3s. I can't afford a lot of salmon, so I take omega-3 capsules instead.

I've been wondering about CLA. What is the business with GLA or the Gamma Linoleic Acid? Is it the same or different?
