Unhappy I gained!

I gained 1 lb. I stayed on plan, didn't cheat, exercised, drank my water and still I gained. That makes a 2 lb gain after my nearly 4 lb loss. The gain has been after my soy milkshake rm, every time. Is it the soy or is it too much carb? Too many calories?

B - vegetable omelet (cabbage, mushrooms, celery cauliflower and broccoli, eggs.
L - a bit of the leftover breakfast, cold chicken, salad.
D- roast chicken, salad, green beans, soymilkshake (1 cup soydream, 1 scoop soy protein isolate, blueberries, torani syrup)

Will you all help me mourn the passing of that treat for me? I doubt that I should have it again.

SEE WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU ELIMINATE IT. I AM ELIMINATING MY LOW CARB BARS THIS WEEK. WE HAVE TO KEEP FINE TUNING UNTIL WE SEE A STEADY LOSS.
GOOD LUCK!

Default Can I join you too?

This is my very first post to this site. I sure enjoy the encouragement I get from reading how well you are all doing.

Some time back I set a goal for this coming Sunday, which is NASCAR day. We have a lot of company coming for the races. I am within four pounds of that goal. I am not going to be dissapointed if I don't make it because I know how well I have done so far. But wouldn't it just be the neatest thing to hit that goal?

So....... can I tag along for the ride?

Libby

Default Hi

Ok with me if you come onboard. The more the merrier. Ah, to reach a goal. That will be wonderful.

On another note. How long does caffeine withdrawal last? I had a cup of tea with lunch to hopefully ward off any headache.

Default Cup a tea

I was a serious diet-coke-aholic. I gave it up cold about 8 months ago. I thought I was going to die for about two days. After that it was just the habit of drinking it that made me want one.

These days I don't miss any of it..... not coffee..... not coke. Not one bit!

Want to know what else has changed for me? Taste! I never crave deserts or sweets and never eat them but the other day I licked frosting off my fingers and it was SO sweet that it was sickening! eeeeeww... YUCK.

However..... bell pepers have become a real treat for me. Red, Yellow, Orange or Green ones. They taste wonderful. Just sweet enough. Perfect!

Why go back to deserts when you can eat a bell pepper? LOL

Libby.

Heck 2 days isn't bad. I was afraid it might be a couple of weeks, like smoking.

Default Good evening Troups!

Today was a much better day for me all around in the food department. I was browsing through web sites yesterday and looking at the CALP cookbook for some ideas.

B: 1 fried egg, 2 pieces sausage

L: 3/4 chicken salad (made with canned chicken, mayo, celery)
bowl of salad, 1 Tsp. dressing

D: Small T-bone steak
Cauliflower "potato" pancakes (recipe is somewhere online,
these were great! I'll send the recipe if you would like it)
1/2 cup sauted mushrooms
3/4 cup cooked spinach
Salad
3 chocolate chip cookies
1 cup milk

So far 45 oz water.. I'll do 65 before bed for sure!

I seem to have alot of energy lately.. could that be from the lack of sugar and carbs?????

Lisa

Default Ok first post for food... here goes!

Breakfast: 2 pieces of LC bread with peanut butter, 1 coffee

Lunch: 1 hard boiled egg and a few bites of cheese (I was really not hungry)

Dinner: 2 pieces of meat stuffed canneloni with mashed potatoes.

Didn't drink as much water as I usually do. Was busy at work and when that happens, I forget to drink.

Walk alot to and from work... that's my exercise. Oh well there's that and jumping to conclusions... that is exercise too ya know!

1 cup coffee

b - 2 egg vegetable omelete
L - sardine salad, cup of tea
d - salad, green beans, asparagus, brown rice, roast beef

Lots of water and did housework for my exercise. Kept waiting for the cafeine withdrawal headache, but it hasn't happened. Dh looked it up in CALP and because I've been taking chromium, withdrawal will be eliminated. Cool, huh!

GOOD MORNING,
JUST SAYING HI. GOING TO WORKOUT NOW. THEN GO TO WORK.

HEY lowco- WAY TO GO! 6 POUNDS! I MUST BE DOING SOMETHING WRONG. I'LL WEIGH THIS MORNING. I DREAD IT. I THINK MY SCALE IS SET AT 143. MAYBE IF MY 50 POUND DAUGHTER GOT ON IT WOULD SAY 143 TOO. I'M PROBABLY REALLY 125. LOL.

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE. ONLY HAVING COFFEE FOR BREAKFAST. NOT REALLY HUNGRY.
HAS ANYONE TRIED THAT MOCK DANISH RECIPE? I TRIED BUT I MESSED IT UP AND IT WAS GROSS. THEY ALL RAVE ABOUT IT UNDER THE LOW CARB RECIPES. I'LL HAVE TO TRY IT AGAIN.

I'LL BE BACK LATER.

Default Tuesday

I don't even want to rehash yesterday... lets just say that I had my reward meal for lunch and it seemed to never stop.

The scale read 189 today again. At least I didn't gain a lot from yesterday. Kind of surprised. Not complaining mind you... Anywho... on today. Dh is home again today. That is okay though. Here is today's menu.

Breakfast: 2 eggs and 3 bacon
Lunch: cottage cheese and tunafish
Dinner: chicken stir fry (I just LOVE it!)
Water: 100 oz
Exercise: none... you think I want Dh to watch me do that?!
