Default A Pot 'o Gold March Challenge: 4-8# loss

Welcome to our continuing monthly challenge-- lose 4 to 8 pounds, or try staying the same and not gaining!

Pull up a chair, grab a hot cup of coffee and pass the LC chocolates if you will...not too many now...and we'll have another hoot of a month with friendship, encouragement, and been there--done that!

We weigh-in on Mondays.

Add your name to the list below by cutting and pasting into your reply. We help each other with the list, so don't worry if it seems confusing at first.

Happy March to all our LC friends: You are worth more than the biggest pot of gold! Let's share a fun recipe or two while we're at it, okee dokee?

I'll start the list for Monday morning now...:

Good morning. Annie, noticed that you change the type color to match the challenge. Love it! Thanks for starting this challenge. If anyone sees the Leprechaun whoosh fairy, please send him my way.

Wouldnt you know it, after being 182.5 all week, I woke up this morning at 183.5. I think my scales know when it is weigh in day.

This is the longest I have went in a long time without cheating. I am on my 4th week and it still isnt any easier for me. I just go about it one day at a time. Ihope this month is so much different because I would really like to be in the 170's again.

I wish everyone a good month.

Just think, now you'll have an even bigger loss to record for this month!

Great job sticking with your WOE even though it isn't getting any easier! That makes your success even more impressive! I do pray it does get easier though.... I am sure it will...

Spring is coming and our bodies are going to soon come out of hibernation and start revving up for Summer We are heading into the downhill part of the year, it's all fun from here on in!

We've made it through the hardest months and we're still here!!! (Nov - Feb) I think we are all so awesome and I am really PROUD of us!

Win, Lose or Draw We are here and we are still traveling the road together!

Hi girls,
well...My goal is to be more involved with the group for march. I've been shying away because of cheating . I made my dh get pizza and chocolate cake last night . I woke up this morning to find the leftovers in the trash. I'll take that as a hint. He is sticking to this WOE really good, unless I make him cheat . I just don't know whats wrong with me lately. I think I'm just getting board with the food choices. Annie's rite we should share more recepies. Well I still managed to lose a pound. This month will be better
*Smiles*

Wow look at our perky little group!

Sheila look how much weight you've lost since you started LC'ing. That is phenomenal. Do you feel like I do? That you're being good but not seeing success like you want? I sure am.

I find myself very tired this week and recognize now that I eat more during those those times.

Anne I hear you about wanting to be more involved. We need each other!

I want to add one more thing here about shying away because of "cheating". This is exactly what a support group is for. We don't have wooden clubs to beat ourselves over the head because we each do a good enough job of that on our own self! I have "cheated" this week because I just have been so tired. That's not a healthy excuse but it's honest. If I was a recovering alcoholic and didn't go to my AA meeting because I gave in to my cravings, I would be worse off for it.

So there's my sermon for today--we all need each other. We are here to pick each other up and say, "Come on honey, come have some low carb chocolate with me while the kids are in school!"

Dawn your recipe is just what I need. Where did you find your Keto cereal? I know Vita Cost has great cheap prices...wonder if the Keto cereal is worth it. Thanks Dawn, will try it. Congrats on your insulin levels too!

Terry glad you're getting in the groove of things again. Being sick isn't fun.

Annie

Here I am guys! After a very rough day. I found out the college I'm going to this fall has changed some policies. It hit me hard this maorning, but I weathered it, and I didn't use it as an excuse to go off plan. I'm sticking to this. ~CindyLynn~

Good for you Cindy- I am proud of you.. upsets are the hardest times for me.. I end up just feeling kinda listless and 'empty'.. and do the mindless eating thing...etc.. hope its something you can work out tho! What is your major?

Annie-pie-YW with the recipe.. I bought the keto cereal at krogers...I cant remember what I paid for it.. it wasnt inexpensive I do know that I really respect that you are sticking with something that is in a hard stage for you currently.. I think that is why I love this forum.. all people at all stages of their journeys..and its very encouraging to hear how others are going thru things, what they think, feel and how they get thru it.. thank you for sharing...

Well it's a do-over month, cause I'm at the same weight I started February with! Worst thing is that at one point I was down to 178.5 and gained it back within a couple days, never to lose it again *sigh*

the challenge for me is not to give up and let my eating slip, figuring that it's not going to work for me anyway, so I may as well eat the no-no's. I *really* wanted a bag of chips today and almost convinced myself to go ahead and get them!

Here's to a better March!
