Default CLA and Insulin Resistance

I have been reading about CLA and have found some studies that show that it can increase insulin resistance.

However, I am a little confused as to whether it just increases insulin resistance in those who already have a problem with IR or if it does this to everyone.

Does anyone know more about this? I have checked the Great CLA Experiment thread and while someone has posted that it has been found to increase IR, there is not any additional information addressing my question.

Thanks!

I have read studies supporting both sides of that issue. I don't think the jury is in on this one yet.

This article addresses that issue, and seems to come down on the side of CLA being a safe supplement.

Depends what you are using it for. It hasn't changed my body composition, which seems to be what all the folks in the CLA thread are after. But it has done wonders for me with my allergies. I presume it is because of the anti-inflammatory properties. (Yes, I know those are under dispute too!) But for me, it has been life changing.
