Thanks Nat, I think I will buy the powder form next time once these pills are done. I'm only walking right now, which is not very strenuous, but I think all the other benefits will be good for me.
I searched the web last night and this is what I came up with.
L-glutamine is a nonessential amino acid that supplies energy to the brain. (Which I need so bad!)
It can be used for:
Combating the effects of alcoholism
Alleviating hypoglycemia
Fatigue reduction
Improving exercise endurance
Growth hormone release
Benefitting the liver and intestines
Maintaining a healthy gastrointestinal tract
Strengthening the immune system
Serving as fuel for the heart muscle
Combating hypoglycemia by raising serum glucose
Dosage and use
One gram or more may be used as needed.
Two grams or more before exercise or sleep may promote growth hormone release.
L-glutamine is most effectively utilized when taken on an empty stomach. It is easily soluble in juice or water and is not unpleasant tasting.
For optimal and quickest absorption, it can be used sublingually (under the tongue).
Caution:
Insomnia may occur from overstimulation if L-glutamine is taken too close to bedtime.
