Hi Sheila!
Are you still interested in a Swarzbein buddy? I'm also from Michigan and would love to correspond with you about this program. i need some daily accountability. If it feels right please reply.
Warmly,
Jean
Hi, I am from St. Clair County, Michigan. I am on Atkins.
What made you guys get into Swarzbein?
I don't know anything about it and would like to know more.
Edit:I didn't see this was in the Schwarzbein page. I just did a search for Michigan and found it.

There is a sticky at the top of this forum that explains the plan. It is very balanced and has more carbs than atkins (mostly in the form of starchy veggies). Atkins was too LC for me. I do better with the SP. Check it out!
Sure
I am still interested I seem to be able to do good for about 2-3 days then have a cheat....mostly related to boredom and too mcuh temtation around the house but i do feel really good when i am doing it right
I used to follow somercizing and went off for a while...i had hit a plateau for about 6 months and got bored with that plan. I remembered that diana schwarzbien counceled suzanne somers so i looked up her info and thought it would be doable plus i could eat more things together...somercizing is all about food combinig.. I do feel good following schwarzbien it works a bit slower than adkins though cuz there is no cutting of carbs at the beginning but is very similiar after adkins induction with the counting of carbs. The counting of things makes me a little crazy so not sure if this will work for me either but i will try anything not to get up to 240 lbs again!!!!!!
Hi girls!
For me deciding to TSP has everything to do with wanting to heal my body first and foremost. When I was doing the other LC plans it was all about losing weight.
Sheila, glad to see your still around! I'm looking at TSP as a lifelong plan. I'm taking baby steps to get where I want to be. I have a lot of healing to do and if I tried to do it all at once I'd feel hopeless. If you fall off the wagon just get back up, dust yourself off and get back on. As you can see I'm trying to reframe my thinking. I'm going to write a post of my history when I'm done here and my short term goals for now.
Warmly,
Jean
I would love to be on the daily encouragement/accountablity wagon with you all. I have lurked on some Low Carb boards but following SPII is a little different and it would be nice to be able to talk and share with other people on the same plan. I think that the key to this program is One Day at a time and Baby Steps. The process is the sure way to sucess. Her quote of "You need to heal your metabolism to become healthy and to lose fat weight, not lose weight to become healthy" really hit me where I am at. For so many years all I wanted was to lose the weight. How unfortunate, for my health. Cause I basically put myself into this position of really needing to heal now. So day by day I know that I am going to get a little better.
