Default feel really big

Just started lc-ing a few days ago . I am doing intense weight training with a pt. my goal is to lean out and lose 15-20lbs of fat. anyone have any lc dieting advice or plans to help me with the weightloss. I do 30m cardio 6d/wk and I like the Atkins. Also, will the intense lifting slow down my weight loss , because I am feeling really big. I am a 41yo female and have at least 10yrs experience training with a recent return to the gym after a life change that took me out of the gym for three years and lots of eating to soothe feelings. thanks

The lifting will really help you lean out, so I wouldn't worry about whether it slows you down or not. Plus it will help you keep the bones strong, so is really good for us as we get older. The fat is really lost through diet. You can also incorporate a few additional carbs pre and post workout and not count them as part of your Atkins limit. You'll burn them off with the workouts. A lot of us keep post WO carbs lower than what you'll see all over the net. I usually keep it to 5-10g.

Is there some reason you are doing so much cardio? Most people who are lifting don't do that much cardio... maybe only 3-4 days per week. If you do cardio and lifting in the same session, do the lifting first, then cardio.

I would also recommend starting a gym log here. It really helps to be able to go back and see your progress!
