Default New Start

I am not new to low carb eating but I have been estranged for some time.
My husband and I are both feeling sick and tired of feeling sick and tired.
We are eliminating refined carbs and sugars from our diet and eating natural foods, occasional fruits, veggies often, and meat.

I am a little nervous, I am 42 and have struggled to get my weight under control. My knee is in pain often as it carries my 274 pound mass around. I need to make this life time change. On a very positive note, my husband is joining and our 15 year old daughter is excited to participate.

So here is to my new beginning starting today.

Sounds great!!

Hang in there the first couple of weeks. Not sure what plan you are going to do:. Low carb high fat, Atkins, etc. Whatever you choose, I would encourage you to surf the forum daily for support and to learn how to to make this a way of eating not a diet.

Look forward to getting to know you.

I can relate to the knee issues. I'm 37. Best of luck to you both.

I am 42 and my issues started at 35. I just hope the damage isn't to the point I have to have surgery.

Good luck to you as well.
