Default The next step of accountability

I've been sailing down De Nile since, oh, last summer. Today I'm coming to the end of two weeks of very affirming induction. That's step one. The next step was coming back to this forum. The final step? Revisiting my Fitday log.

The great thing about Fitday is it helps me get "real" as I get back on plan. My maintenance goal weight is still a dream. But the weight I've actually been able to maintain--according to my Fitday record--isn't that far away.

So, on the upside, I haven't gained that much. On the downside, I know I will continue struggle with the elusive "goal weight."

Once again, I remind myself that the real goal is not a weight target, but a healthy lifestyle. I'm debarking from that sailboat right now! Accountability is very, very important, and I know there are friendly people and helpful tools to accomplish that.

Best wishes all.

I think periodically tracking nutrients/fitness in the maintenance stage is a great way to detect warning signs before significant damage is done. I think of it kind of like a professional having to do continuing education periodically. Professionals get rusty and set in the ways with their careers, and so do low-carbers.

I myself am making a mini-goal of staying on track for one month with no cheats. I've been lyin' to myself as well over the past 4 months. Not much physical damage has occurred, but definitely behavioral damage.

Anyway, I wish you luck with tracking and staying honest with yourself :-)
