Whatever works for you. I've had some non-repeating observations with my own response to various diet interventions, maybe that makes me a bit of a skeptic. Repeatability is important.

You're right. I think I just didn't want my bubble burst :-) Was trying to hang on to the mythical something-that-was-easy explanation. When I know darn well that _Nothing_ is easy. Except for weight gain, now that is easy. If fact, I can do it without trying.

Going to hold off on the egg fast for now. I still want to try it, but I have too many things in the fridge that would be off limits and go bad before I go off the fast. I hate wasting food! This egg thing is going to take some planning...

Since I'm now subscribed to this thread, I'm back this morning. Please take this as helpful advice. You have been trying to "re-start" low carb since March and then again April 17th but first didn't truly follow an induction plan, and now can't start because there is food in the refrigerator? You have a family, won't there always be food in the house that may not be low carb? Make it for them and and learn to adjust your meal as part of the family meal. And you don't have to restart with an egg fast, just restart by following a strict LC induction plan that helps you reduce hunger. Dr Eades has some good tips for "second Time Around" and restarting. Net down, the first time you did Atkins in 2009 you were fully committed and followed the plan exactly, now you "remember" the extras.https://proteinpower.com/drmike/201...w-carb-dieters/

Consider some serious goal-setting...you have some dates coming up that should lead you to commit to eating well. Atkins works the second time too, if you follow the plan, and "fasting" or just not being hungry all day, happens naturally as a result of the foods.

Yes and there will always be social situations. I can't seem to find two straight weeks without something that will interfere with my plan. I do best when I have no social plans, but I can't stop living just to eat a specific way. That's why I said I know myself, I know my _lifestyle_. The food in the fridge is low carb, just not egg-fast appropriate. I'm sticking with my usual for now, but I plan to set aside a few days to try it out of curiosity. I haven't completely settled on any one thing yet. Maybe I never will. It is unrealistic for me to believe I'll never eat a piece of real pizza again because I would be setting myself up for disappointment if that was my approach. I strive to be flexible and work within the situation. Thanks for your advice, but I think I am doing just fine. This thread started because I was curious if anyone had tried an egg fast. I wasn't asking for you to critique my whole approach.
