hi-
I was in the mountains for the holidays-
sorry!

My weightloss menus were totally balanced: my 2 cms are exactly the same as they are now, but my rm now has more carbs.
Compared to many people on CAD even my rms now are balanced- but I took the 1/3 very very seriously. I had ONE carb, and it was ONE serving. I also limited sugar to 1 or 2 times a week, and limited alcohol too.

I posted all my menus on this CAD/CALP area, but I think they are so old they were deleted.
My everyday breakfast is coffee, 2 eggs, 2 slices of turkey bacon and proably 1/2 ounce cheese.
My everyday lunch is a salad with chicken, tuna or leftover protein; or leftover veggie and protein.

I still start my RM with a salad. Todays menu:
salad, eggplant parm, chicken parm, 1 hard roll, water.

HTH-
E

How much was a serving of carbs for you? 1/2 cup or 1 cup of grain/starch?

I hope you had a nice vacation. The mountains sound great!

they were great- we hiked and biked and it was COOL!

Mindy, I never measured! I took a plate, put my protein and veggie first on the plate and then the carb. I consider one small sweet potato a serving, a whole piece of fruit a serving (yes, I have been known to have a whole mango!), a small bowl (like a custard cup) of berries, ame size cup of ricotta cheese with honey and dried cherries and walnuts, a whole cup (the one from the store) of yogurt, an ice cream bar (like a klondike or eskimo pie). I hardly ever order dessert at a restaurant- too big, too late. I'd rather have bread! A serving of bread would be a roll (small square cibiata roll), small bagel or 1/2 big bagel, 2 slices of toast, a big pancake, a small bowl of bran cereal, one large shredded wheat- how does this sound? Does it make sense?

last night-
wedge salad, green beans, steak, rosemary bread, water. I took home 1/2 the steak and didn't have a bite of the dessert that DH ordered- or any of the wine. I was very satisfied.
tonight
salad (I have a salad bowl as part of my correll everyday plates- I fill it up), eggplant parm, chicken parm (both single serve frozen that DH and I split),roll, water. DH also had pasta and chocolate.

ask away- I will check my email again soon- really!
