Default Low carb and BFL

Since I started BFL Monday, I went and bought the Myoplex low carb meal replacement shakes. i am eating 6 small meals a day like I should on BFL, but I am leaving out the pastas, grains ect from the plan. My only carby addition is that I add 1/2 a banana or one large strawberry to my vanilla low carb myoplex shake. I am still getting about 40-50 carbs a day this way, which I pretty much consider is eating low carb, since the FDA recommends us eating about 300 gm of carb a day lol. I am getting in roughly 140-160 gm of protien a day too.

I guess what my rambling is leading to is this:

Is anyone else using the Low Carb Myolplex Shakes and has that had any effect on thier low carb weight loss or the BFL program? Also, are these shakes worth the money?

Thanks

Just FYI, Richard and I both drink 2 shakes a day. We went to GNC last night and bought a 3 month supply of both whey protein and glutamine (that's like 12 lbs. of protein and 2 lbs. of glutamine ). We figured that it results in a per serving cost of US$0.42. Not bad! Of course, buying in quantity like that helps. GNC has a deal that if you buy one, you get one 1/2 off....and during the 1st week of the month you get an additional 20% off your total! So that's why we went in an stocked up.

Also, these shakes give us 5 g of carbs & 20g of protein in each serving, assuming you use one scoop per shake.

Glutamine is worth every penny you pay for it.

And..... it looks like you need another 20-30 g of protein per day!! (1g/# of body weight.... I learned the hard way!)

I hope this helps you.
