Default Cold Hands and Feet

Since LCing my hands and feet are cold all the time. My fingers ache - it seems - from the inside out. I read that magnesium helps cold hands and feet, so I've been taking it for about 3 weeks (probably not long enough to see any results yet).

Does anyone else have this problem?

Could it be the LC diet? If anyone has any suggestions I'd appreciate it.

I wear socks to bed every night - my boyfriend thinks I'm crazy in this hot and humid weather! And I'm considering bringing a pair of gloves to work because the a/c is killing my hands - then those people will think I'm crazy too!

So, I'm open to any suggestions.

TIA

Summer

Once upon a time I had bad peripheral circulation but I have found that any hand and foot exercises such as stretching, rolling the joints, and baoding balls for the hands(or two large ball bearings). A good quick fix is to shake the hands vigourously while trying to relax the body.

Try exercising if you do not. Not exercising can cause poor circulation which results in cold extremities.

Thanks for the feedback LB, but I do exercise already.

I did go to the Dr a few weeks ago, he looked at my hands and feet, said that my nails were pink (apparently if there is a problem they are gray or blue) and also checked how quickly the blood returns after lifting my hands and feet and my blood return was fine. He also ran some blood tests and there's nothing wrong with me. EXCEPT that my hands and feet are still cold all the time.

When my hands are really bad I run them under warm water which seems to help. And I'm still wearing socks to bed every night which also helps. Guess I'll just have to live with it.

I do appreciate everyone's feedback.

Oh the memories! It could be a zinc deficiency. For years I always had cold hands and feet. Even during the hottest summer I would have to wear an undershirt and a jacket. Then I read that it might indicate a zinc deficiency and to take 50 mg of zinc a day. I've been doing that for three years now and I'm no longer cold all of the time. In fact, I just started to wear a llight jacket in the mornings and evenings. Give it a try. I hope it helps.
