Sigh, I have a family member who is exactly like this. The vegetarians/vegans kidnapped her brain ages ago and she's incapable of learning and accepting the real truth.
Of course it doesn't help that I am fat so she will never listen to me. She is not naturally thin either, but she is one of the 5% of people who are able to constantly starve themselves and run marathons every day to stay thin, and be constantly hungry and think that it's normal. Of course, because she does indeed have this "heroic virtue" she thinks she's superior to everyone else.
