Hi Mary, Louise, Cheryl et al.
The lunch was great, I enjoyed meeting you tremendously. I look forward to our next rendez vous.
I'm sorry that the chocolate does have maltitol in it, but no one ate near the quantity usually required to produce stomach upset.
I do know of some good chocolate made with lactitol sold under the brand name Wawel. You can buy it the west end, Bloor W. Village or on Roncesvales.
Semi sweet chocolate is pretty low carb, averaging around 1 net gram per 28 gram serving.
Kindest,
Michelle

Michelle, thanks for the chocolate -- I certainly didn't eat enough to repeat my previous sins, but enough to really enjoy it!!

I think I will have to get some to have in the house (who am I trying to kid??)

Anyway, looking forward to another meeting with everyone!!

Thanks for the info, chefMichelle!

I will try either looking for the lactitol stuff-- does it have the same *response* as maltitol??-- or I can just stick to dark chocolate. I don't really like dark chocolate as much as milk choc, so it will keep me from chronically overdosing on it!

And semi-sweet is sounding good, too.

Wawel, eh? I'll look when I am in the Ville next.

Mary

PS ALL: any ideas for the next "date"? I am available Saturdays, June 5 and maybe 19 (day before dad's day). How 'bout y'all?

M

Well unless y'all want to come to Guelph to hear me sing in a choir concert on June 5, I won't be able to see you and on June 19th, we're hosting a party so I couldn't make either day. But don't plan just around me!! On into July is looking better for me at the moment since I think every weekend is kind of chock full in June.

It would be nice to plan something with an outdoor patio, eh?

Hi humm

Yeah, maybe July is good, too. Do alot of people go away in the summer? I go to my cottage whenever I can afford it (car rental).

Anyone else for June????????

M
