Talking You want it your way at BK.. YOU WHAT!

had some fun the other day at BK here in aberdeen,

asked for the double whopper without the bun.!!!!!
they just stood there for 5 minutes thinking i was joking..

then spent another 10 minutes trying to work out HOW!..
struck me as crazy.. i had ordered the double to help
burger>filling<burger.. what is so hard..

they wont forget me in a hurry.
still had to pay full price for it, thankfully not the full price for the carbs.lol

Hi Juksey,

I used to work at McD's when I was younger and yes I would have found the request to be a bit strange, but not these days.

One of my fellow colleagues was a vegetarian and used to have on her break a big mac without the meat! Maybe I should find her again, she has the bread I have the meat, LOL!

Hey I also noticed that out weights are very similar. I started out on 05/01/04 as 18st 6lbs, now down to 17st 6lbs.

Donna.

Start 05/01/04 - 18st 6lbs
12/01/04 - 5lbs off
19/01/04 - 1lb off
26/01.04 - 0lbs off
02/02/04 - 2lb off
09/02/04 - 1lbs off
16/02/04 - 2lbs off
23/02/04 - 3lbs off
01/03/04 - 1lb on

Hi folks,

I've had Maccie D's twice since starting Atkins .. and both times I've wimped out of ordering sans bun. But then it does help keep the burger warm in transit.

But really, are these outlets ever gonna switch on to low-carbing this side of the pond?

Congrats to both of yous on your weight loss.

I use to order my burgers with the bun and just take the buns out. But luckily BK now has started what they call, LC meals and have in a platter everthing that comes in the burger, minus the bun. Thank goodness cause I hate wasting food and was feeling quilty throwing out the buns.

Hi Lily,

Is that a BK in the uk that does the Platter, I;ve just been on their website and there isn't anything about it there. What sort of price was it.

Someone who is always looking for something to eat before a night class straight from work!

Thanks

Donna.

Hi Dwilks,TBP and AFwife,

they do seem to find it strange,
they even came and asked if everything was o.k. once i had finished.

if they are going to start serving it platter style it would be great,

there are a few places that understand that we need alternatives
but just as fast.

Thankfully my local Sandwich shop now serves their famous
sausage bacon and egg ina bun.. Bunless..
at least i can still get breakfast if i run late in the morning.

personally Struggling with nighshift. feel like i'm eating a day behind..

I went to BK off the A1 near Grantham yesterday and asked for a BK double bacon cheeseburger without a bun. There was absolutely no problem or excuses - which I had psyched myself up for.

I was offered - and accepted - a plate (a proper one not paper), a knife and fork (proper cutlery not plastic) and I sat down and enjoyed it although I did feel a bit of a p*llock eating with a knife and fork as everyone else used their hands.

Good on you BK

Oh sorry, it's only being done on base, military base that is. I haven't found any outside of base that are doing it yet, wish they would so I don't feel quilty for trashing the bread. Though my 22 month old has been eating it lately so now I don't feel so bad.
