Made these last night. Melted some unsweet chocolate mixed in a splenda and dabbed it in the center of the cookies. Was quite tasty. Thanks for the recipe Elle

OK so I made these today and they did not look like your pic. They kept there drop shape rather than flattening out. What did i do wrong?

Nothing. In my directions it says they wont flatten out much so don't pile them too high

oh ok. From the picture it looked like a regular cookie and it was flat. Maybe you shaped them that way. Also i made this 2 times and both times it had a weird after taste. Maybe i put too much of one of the ingredients. Has this happened to anyone. What do you think it could be so i can use less. Maybe the cream of tarter or the baking powder?

These cookies are GREAT!!! I used the original recipe posted and added a tsp. of cinnamon. They tasted similar to snickerdoodle cookies to me. I think next time I might add a cream cheese frosting to them. These make really good size cookies also.

Splenda can do that. Try using a mixture of splenda and erythritol. Sometimes combining sweeteners cancels out the aftertaste. Well, unless its stevia. I can taste that in anything : blech :

I don't have any packets of splenda.. so how much of the granulated one would I use? 2-3 teaspoons?
