Default Atkins low carb milk

Was browsing through the recent Makro brochure and came across Atkins Milk. it was £1.19 for 1lt (introductory price). Didn't mention carb counts or anything.

Has anyone seen it/tried it?

Donna.

Tesco have a few yoghurts around the 4-5g mark which arent the rediculous atkins prices!

I wasn't aware they had - I've seen all their other LC stuff - croissants, sandwiches, atkins yogurts, bread mix and pasta etc - but no milk

Right i had a quick scour of the fridge, and the shape yog is one of the new ones, it was a cheese cake flavour, and it was 6g per pot, which isnt too bad, it was a darkish colour.

I will check the other for ya when im next at tesco!

Tesco are also doing yoghurt under their new "Carb Control" brand. 29p for a pot of peach flavoured yoghurt, 125 ml, with just under 8g of carb. Sweetened with sucralose. I found them by accident with the "normal" yoghurt where I don't normally look

Well done Tesco, you're on the right lines

i think thats high. i would try the normal greek yoghurt which is 4g of carbs per 100g. i would add splenda to it and 4.5 and total of normal would be like 5-6? but it would cost a bit i guess

Sorry, but I fail to see why is 8g of CH per 125ml considered low carb.

125 ml is only 4fl oz which isn't even the usual size for a common yogurt container (about 6fl oz, almost 200 ml). Thus the one you mention works out to be about 12g of CH for the usual amount (6 fl oz).

By comparisson, the YeoValley natural has only 9.9g of CH FOR THE ENTIRE container (150g)... do the math and you'll verify it is actually less than the one mentioned above.
