Lightbulb The Drumbeat Challenge

Only four chicken drumsticks a day.

1200 calories, 120 grams protein, 60 grams of fat. Atkins type veggies if desired.
Unlimited black coffee, tea or water to drink.

Thought about trying it for some time or a variation with sardines and or anchovies.

Anyone?

Doesn't sound any crazier than the egg fast.

I have found a simplified diet helpful. At that calorie level, I'd probably end up eating the cat.

I'll probably wait until she has the kittens first. I'm not a monster.

Errr... are those turkey drumsticks?

Cause normal chicken drumsticks are like 115 kcal, skin 'n all

I think your chickens are just really ginormous

She's my Dad's cat. He's more of a terminal optimist than a monster.

I was thinking the same thing. Maybe it means a chicken leg quarter (leg and thigh) -- with skin, roasted, that's about 300 calories and 17 grams of protein. Four of them gets to the 1200 calories total, but not to the 120 grams of protein (only about 75 or so), and more fat (25 grams/leg for a total of 100).

Still, I could see myself happily eating roast chicken for a few days

Going just by the Atkins.pdf:

1 each Chicken leg 0 0 0 15.4 fat 29.7 protein 265 calories

Perhaps they include the bones? I do try to suck out the marrow

Was too busy today, just had one mug of black coffee then at 4PM 1/2 pink grapefruit, 2 string cheese and one large chicken leg. Now I feel too full to eat anything else.

I won't be able to try the diet clean until I get rid of all the other food in the house. The dogs can help, but they eat mainly chicken too. It will simplify grocery shopping

Tried the 'smoked turkey leg' from Walmart Deli -- was tasty, but a bit dry. Likely not worth $7, but cheaper than those entertainment venues. I couldn't finish it in one sitting -- even with help from two dogs
