Default Serving size?

Hi, I want to enter a custom food but the serving size 1 x 100 gms or oz is confusing. I have a product that is 175 calories per (1.66 oz) per serving. How do I enter this? If I leave it at 1.66 oz it tells me I am using 30 calories-NOT RIGHT! I know it's pilot error. Can you please make the serving size easier to use?

I'm not quite sure what is happening. Can you give me the rest of the info for the custom food (cals, protein, carbs and fat), and I'll have a little play around.

Otherwise, you could simply do the sums to reduce everything to one ounce' worth, ie 1 oz will be something like 105 cals.

Hi, this is what I was trying to enter -it's a Walker Shake :
2 scoops serving size
175 cal
6 fat
7 carb
protein 24

In fitday, I can just say serving size is one serving and then put in the stats.
And if I wanted to enter the stats on a no bake lc cheescake, how would you do this?
Amount Per 1 serving
Calories 368
Calories from Fat 333

% Daily Value *
Total Fat 37g 57%
Saturated Fat 0g 0%
Polyunsaturated Fat 0g
Monounsaturated Fat 0g
Cholesterol 62mg 21%
Sodium 0mg 0%
Potassium 0mg 0%
Total Carbohydrate 4g 1%
Dietary Fiber 1g 4%
Protein 7g 14%
Alcohol 0g
Thanks so much, I will take the time to read through the sticky, I was just surprised that it wasn't easier to do this.

I can certainly see what you mean about this being confusing. And complicated.
(We are spoilt here in Australia, because all nutritional labels must have details per 100 grams - ideal for MyPLAN. But that's not exactly helpful to you.)

My first suggestion is to work everything out per ounce, then when you enter into your Daily Entry, put 1.66 as the amount eaten.
I worked it out at
105.4 cals
14.458 protein
3.61 fat
4.2168 carbs

The other way to do it, is to just pretend that "1 ounce" is actually one serving, so that you are in fact entering 1.66 oz worth, just calling it "1 oz."

For the cheesecake, I'd probably add it as a recipe, with number of servings, but you could also just call a serving the same as "1 oz" again.

I'm really sorry not to have a simpler answer for you, but hope that is of some help.

Roz
