Default Beginning to quit tommorow.

Hi everyone,

I have been a low-carber since July and have really enjoyed the results on how I look and feel. The next step in my quest to be more healthy is to quit smoking. I am beginning tommorow and just thought I would document it here since I enjoyed the help I recieved from the forums (even though I need to stay involved in them a little more).

It has now been almost 2 days since I quit. I am using The Nicoderm patch. I find that when I first put it on in the morning I am all right for a couple of hours. Later in the day and into the evening is when I find it really tough. I go back to work tommorow and hopefully this helps a little to keep me busy.

I think the patch is working but then again it is still very hard. The package says that it releases nicotine throughout the day but I feel that it releases more in the morning then slowly fades throughout the day. Who knows?

Anyways, I am hoping that things start getting easier tommorow. I have tried the gum before but it didn't seem to work. However, something that I liked about the gum is that it gave me a good hit of the bad stuff.

I just have to stick with it though. I am really looking foreward to the time when I no longer am dependant on nicotine.
