I'm a pretty regular runner, and two days ago, i noticed that my calves started cramping after about 20 minutes. the pain is crippling and once they lock up i'm only able to hobble....
this has never happened to me before (even though induction), adn i was wondering if anyone had any tips or suggestions. i want to be able to run again!
I run as well. I make sure that I stretch my calves well before I run..Also, potassium and I have heard and read that if you are dehydrated, it can cause cramping..
Stretch before and after your running or exercise..That makes all the difference..
has anyone noticed if shoes make a difference? i've been wearing the same shoes, so i don't think that is the case for me, but maybe its time to get a new pair...
You can use Morten Lite Salt for your potassium, it works great. I also take L-glutamine and that seems to help too, though don't quote me on it.
also, make sure you stretch and then warm up with a fast walk for about 10-15 minutes. I used to go straight out of the gate but now find if I warm up a bit first I have much longer endurance.

Absolutely! The same shoes get worn out at some point. Don't know if that applies here, but you can't rule it out for sure yet.
