Default 101 Pounds Down -- On my way!

I've enjoyed reading other's posts about their milestones, so I hope you will forgive the immodesty of my posting mine. Since starting January 2 of this year (2006), I've lost 101 pounds, finally breaking that century mark. Okay, I started off at 361 pounds, so I have had a lot to lose, and I'm a man, and I very much believe it is easier for men to lose weight than for women. Still, for me this is a real milestone. Thank you, thank you, to everyone! You don't know how being able to just read your posts has helped me when times have been tough.

I went back and read the weight loss journal I've been keeping on this site, and remember when I ached for that first 30 pounds. Any of you who have read my journal know that this has been a very active plan for me, and not something I've done casually. Still, it has been very very rewarding.

I still have forty pounds to go to reach my initial goal, and then I might want to go on from there, so I've got a way to go.

Funny, I've lost the weight fast enough, my self image hasn't kept up. I still feel like the really fat guy I've been for so long. I forget I can now fit in that restaurant booth I could't get into before. Hopefully, all that will change in time.

Thanks again to everyone!

Congratulations!!! You are doing great! Stay the course. Your mind will catch up to your body. Isn't it great to fit in a restaurant booth again. I used to be able to do the magic chair trick. Pick it up with my posterior, Ha Ha. But, more importantly, your health. Head off those old age problems before they get ahead of you. I guess I'm speaking for myself there, as you look pretty young from your photo. Still, it's never too early to be well. Continued success! Karen

No point in being modest about your weight loss among friends! Hearing of other's success helps keep us motivated. I'll help you celebrate! That's great for seven months!

I've lost over 100 pounds, too, and sometimes I forget that I don't have to go to the "plus" size clothes section any more. The head will catch up sooner or later. I still have trouble remembering that my weight has a "1" in front now instead of a "2"! I have 42 pounds to go to goal--wanna race? LOL

Sunny!
