Smile hi Donna

Yes, low-carbing helps ADD, by keeping blood sugar swings under control. Crystal is very eloquent about her struggles with ADHD, and how she has found a sense of control and lost weight with lowcarb... You can read her story ... by clicking on Living la vida low carb! from the Quick Links on the right side of the page, OR click on "Success Stories" from the menu bar at the top; you'll find her story, and others too.

hope this helps..

Doreen

Default Thanks Doreen

Thanks for the info. I was asking because of a student I have in my class this year. His dad refuses to consider medication of any kind for him (which I partially agree with) but the kid just cannot focus and really needs help. I have him right before lunch and again right after lunch and I see a difference. It is harder for him after lunch so I was wondering if maybe carbs were doing it to him. I am going to try to find a tactful way to share some of this info with his dad when I can.

Smile The good and the bad

I have ADHD and I know that it affects people differently. Mine is more like impulsiveness and easily fustrated as well as some distraction.
I have to admit my distractions and my fustrations have dropped a lot since I started LCing my impulsiveness hasn't and if you are familiar with it, it can give you lots of trouble.
My 2 cents...
