Question Newbie

Hi Everyone,

I've been reading alot on these forums the past few days and am very glad to have found this site! I was last summer at 170 lbs. I got myself down to 150 lbs using low fat diet and excercise. Gained back to 160 because I was so tired of being hungry all the time.

So a few weeks ago I started again with the low fat diet with plenty of excercise and found I am constantly hungry! I was eating about 1600 calories a day and kept track of the details at fitday.com. I drink plenty of water also.

After much research I've decided to try the Cad/Calp. I've ordered the books and eagerly waiting for their arrival! Any pointers or tips that you can offer newbie me would be wonderful. My main concern is constipation, and I am a huge fruit lover!

Talking Welcome Aboard

Nice to meet you...... welcome to the room.....and come join us in the "challenge", we are talking vitamins and supplements right now.

Do you have to wait long for your books to arrive? I guess I am lucky, I have a library just down the street.

I have been fortunate..... no constipation here. I do eat lots and lots of veggies and I am sure that helps. I love fruit too, but have found that I haven't missed it a bit. If I really want fruit I just work it in with my supper which is my Reward Meal.

I too can loose weight on Low Fat/Low Cal meals...while I starve. I hated it..... besides..... see how permanant it was? HA!

You will be amazed at how willing you are to discuss things in here that you never thought you would share even with your significant other. I think for a lot of us this is good therapy.

Libby

Hi newcomer!

My advice is do whatever it takes to survive those first 3 days, then it becomes easier. I guess it takes that long to balance your insulin and sugar levels! Good luck
