Default Is there a legitimate place for diuretics with these diets?

If you have noted my pattern in some of my posts, I tend to lose most when I have lots of fluid emptying from my bladder. I have seen it stated that our fat cells fill with water as they empty of fat and then your body dumps it at some point. How much consensus is there on this? Can I trust that all this water is really coming from my fat cells? I don't tend to eat a lot of food and I worry about losing muscle. In addition, my family is kind of on the watch for me to look like I'm holding fluid because of my problem in 2012 with the fluid on my heart. I have told them that the cardiologist has told me that the sac around my heart can never again fill up to the degree that it crushes my heart, but since I did have a bloated appearance at that time, they are kind of on the watch for it. None of us has much expertise in this area and there is a lot of "just figuring it out" at play when it occurs to anyone. He said I could put the fluid on to a lesser degree but that the scar tissue will allow it to seep out, unlike a pericardium (sac) in a person who has never had the surgery. I will ask my internist at my next appointment, how I can know whether I tend to hold fluid. The incident was chalked up to a freak reaction to a random infection and not a chronic condition by the hospitalists but my internist at that time (not my current one) was convinced it was due to my thyroid. My cardiologist disagreed.
So, I am interested in pursuing a change in my diet that will help me release excess fluid but I don't want cramps or to damage myself in some way.
