There are some good threads about carb cycling over on the "Semi Low Carb" board on this site.

I do carb cycling in my own way. I eat low carb for a while (sometimes a week, sometimes a month), then I will switch over to moderate carb for a while(anywhere from 75 to 200 carbs per day), then back to low carb. When I do switch to the moderate carb, I focus on eating so called "good carbs".....no refined sugars, processed foods etc.

Personally, I highly recommend you follow an actual written "plan" that is tried and true. I feel that is the best way to learn your body and figure out what works for you. I did Atkins a couple of YEARS before I kind of started doing my own thing. But without doing the Atkins plan for 2 years, I would have never learned how to handle the cravings, what foods work best for me etc.
