Default What brand name vitamins are you taking?

I'm sure i should be taking them since i am feeling tired by 3pm. So i want to know what vitamins are you taking and what do they contain. What are all the contents for. I am very uneducated about vitamins and want to make sure i am choosing the right one for me.

I wake up at 5:30 am and start work by 7am. I eat breakfast about twice a week and i have lunch at 11am or noon. Dinner is arround 7 or 8pm and i'm usually in bed by 11:30pm. So it could be the fact that i have a boring desk job and i don'tallow myself enough time to sleep at night. But if vitamins are not going to hurt me then ill start taking them.

GNC Megaman multivitamin

Best multi I've tried.

I also take a calcium and a potassium, but not much separates them from other brands.

So what should i be taking? Is a multivitamin enough for now? Is there a list that i can look at to see what each vitamin and mineral is for? Why do i need to take a vitiamin? Will it make me more aware during the day? Is there already a thread explaining all about vitamins?

I take Atkins Basic 3 and Essential Oils. You can look up whats in them at the website.

Basically I take those because he reccomended them in the book but the other reason is I can't seem to find a multi vit. other than Atkins that doesn't have Iron.

Good luck
Jenny

I take Thorne Research brand vitamins and buy them through my naturopath. They're the best ones I've ever found for me, no GI side effects and totally pure.

I take a multivitamin; B complex, Relora, Seriphos, and chromium for my adrenal issues; and extra folic acid. I also take Nordic Naturals Omega 3.

Default Multis

I take GNC Ultra Mega Gold
It's the best one because it's got a high level of B vitamins to help increase energy levels. It's also got a lot of antioxidants to clean out junk and toxins that have built up in your body from eating all the carbs that we all used to and it has digestive enzymes to break down your food properly so that you dont get bloated from the extra protein that we are getting doing a lc diet.

Just trying to push this back up so i can get more answers. Thanks to all that have replied. The Ultra Mega sounds like the best from what i have learned i like gold because it does not have iron and i dont think i need any more iron since i am eating a ton of red meat. and the Green has fibre which the gold doesnt list so i am still looking for the best of both worlds. I may go with the Gold and then take another fibre supplement

Oh, my doctor told me when I asked him how I knew I had a good mulitvitamin, and he told me to get a glass and put some white vinegar in it, put one of your vitamins in it , if it's totally disolved in 30 minutes, than it's a good one. Something about absorption, etc. So, cost is not always a factor, I tried it, and within 15 minutes, my vitamin was gone.

Just something I thought I would pass along.
