Does anyone know if you can make brittle with pecans and davinci syrup. I tried it last night..the pecans were tasty (sorta) but they didnt get candied like they would if i had used sugar. I only put some davinci vanilla syrup in microwave poored over nuts and then put in oven. any suggestions?

The davinci syrup is water-based, so it'd be tough to get it "dried"..

Try tossing the nuts in melted butter, coat lightly with Splenda (I like to add cinnamon) or Diabetisweet (Isomalt sweetener granulated like sugar) and bake a few minutes until toasted.
