hi karen and welcome back. can't wait to hear about your trip. it sure was cool reading your messages from europe. i know i'll never go because i don't fly! i live vicariously through other travellers. we missed you around here.
wow, i'm jealous of all you vanvcouverites meeting for coffee. what a trip!
anyway, great to see you back karen. can't wait to hear what new culinary delights you have in store for us.

Although it's great to travel, there's no place like home! I really missed my pups, the neighborhood, and my daily routine.

All of the culinary delights I experienced were very simple--cheese, a stunning leg of lamb, rabbit, artichokes, asparagus, tomatoes etc. I did have a profound high-carb experience but I can't talk about it here

My sister and BIL live there, so it was nice to be able to shop and cook. We usually ate out at lunch. It was a reunion of sorts--my father, other sister, her husband and 6 year old overlapped visits for a while.

Since it's coming into spring, I should be posting some asparagus recipes soon.
