My wife is definitely one such person. She had her gall bladder out approximately 8 years ago. For a long time afterwards she had some pretty rough GI issues. Those are better now but still she's never been quite the same.

That said, the doctor said that hers was a sickly white color and a healthy one is a nice "robin's egg blue" so he said there was no question that it was shot and had to go. I'll take him at his word.
