Hi
I'm happy to report I went down 4 pounds at a time when its usually
going in the other direction. Its not an average weight so I'm not sure of
the true number yet but I'm very pleased.
I'm re-reading some of the CAD book & have been surprised with some of
the things they say like you can have coffee & diet sodas with each meal & all these cream based desserts with jam so long as its under 4g of carbs.
Don't think I'll try this & just listen to experts here like Patricia & Eno!
I've been trying to just focus on one component at a time like
1. Make sure to have my salad before the RM.
2. Try to include more CM friendly vegetables in those meals.
My next component is to try to decrease the carb servings in the day; I've been having as many carbs as I want; Wheeto cereal, chocolate rice cakes,
wraps, yoghurts, nuts,,etc.
& I would like to decrease them to less than 4 servings total. Preferably 2-3.
Each carb serving being around 15g.
That's my next work to focus on!
Hi
caseyjmc!
I'm trying to follow the CAD principles as closely as I can & its still
really helping even though I haven't always done it perfectly.
Like you I really want more than one coffee & I can't be without my xylitol in it either. Its not causing me any problems so far nor when I sometimes sneak more than one coffee in.
I think 2 is the maximum caffeinated drinks you should have though;
I like lemon & grated ginger in an infuser ball & also 2-3 lime slices & fizzy water with 1/2 spoon of xylitol. Its really refreshing & seems to really help me & cause no problems.
Yesterday however I encountered a problem with either cauliflower or green tea; I had what I thought was the perfect CM; smoked salmon, scrambled eggs, turnips & cauliflower & green tea.
1 hour and a half later I was starved & had bad cravings. I think the culprit was either the cauliflower or the green tea.
I ended up 'off plan' but i averted a possibly bigger disaster; I had 2 dark chocolate hearts, 5 almonds & a cup of tea with milk. This helped me so much & I wasn't hungry for ages after this.
Does anyone have any advice that is off-plan but that averts a worse disaster?
A plan B?
Patricia your so right that there's so much learning & trial & error you have to do;
I do believe the CAD diet is the way to go however so I hope to continually
get better at learning & preparing the correct CMs & what to take with me on the go too!
As Mayflowers mentioned in an earlier post about some people only wanting to eat once a day; I'm finding it hard to want to eat breakfast so I'm waiting a couple of hours.
I want to lose slow and steady too & I think if I only ate once a day; I wouldn't get my five a day fruit & vegetables & would probably over-eat at that meal. Also I noticed I get more irritable & 'HANGRY' (hungry +angry) when I don't eat something..LOL. So its for my family members sake too!
Loving reading your blog posts Patricia; it really simplifies things & puts things into perspective!
